Accessibility Renovations
Maintaining Your Independence
Sometimes you need a truly custom built home; a home that is easier to use, to get around in, and in and out of - Universal Design. Doing accessibility modifications for WCB since 2005 and a certified supplier for the Department of Veterans Affairs Canada (DVA), gives us experience with building solutions that increase your independence. Most recently, we have begun learning about the needs of people with sensitivities and look forward to gaining experience in these projects.
To improve your independence, we focus on three areas:
Improving the accessibility of your home;
Creating revenue using your home and property, and
Planning for and looking after ongoing maintenance and repairs.
Here are accessibility items that you may want to consider: whole house accessibility, independent mobility, wheelchair building access, accessible bathrooms, washrooms, toilets and faucets, wheel-in showers, hydraulic bath tubs, accessible kitchens, lifts, ramps, railings, grab bars, lowered light switches, remote controls, power operated door openers, power operated door closers, elevators, porch lifts, stair glides, door levers versus knobs, slip resistance surfaces, tactile warning strips, assistive listening devices, and other special requirements that you may find in the Building Access Handbook 2007.
Contact us today to discuss getting access to where you want to be.
