The name ConstructoGroup was an attempt to include everyone in the credits and set a tone of fun. When coming up with it in 2003, I tried each on my 12 year old son, Ward. When he heard ConstructoGroup, he was still a moment, then with a strong gesture, struck his fist to his chest and then into the air, exclaiming "I, I am El Constructo!, and you, you are my faithful helper." There was no going on to other names after that -- until incorporating in 2008, when the BC incorporation people insisted something be put ahead of the word ConstructoGroup to make the name unique! After many other submissions, at the end of my creativity, I entered A1 knowing it would be already taken, but alas it was accepted, making the legal name A1 CONSTRUCTOGROUP LTD. As we are a bit shy to call ourselves A1, we continue to call ourselves ConstructoGroup.
